Monterey Car Week is a world class automotive lifestyle event where elite car builders roll out the best of the best. Show fields and displays are packed with vehicles boasting the most advanced technology, timeless styling and exclusive rarity.

For Gateway Bronco, Monterey Car Week is the highlight of the year and the ideal location to showcase their newest innovations in technology and design. Last year in Monterey, Gateway Bronco introduced the LUXE-GT™ Electric Bronco in a specialty Seafoam Green hue with Ranger Stripes. This custom design ignited the audience, being described by one reporter as “the most photographed vehicle of The Quail.” It was such a success that requests soon followed for both the color combination and the advanced EV powertrain with clients that include the CEOs of public companies and celebrities like Jennifer Lopez.

For 2022, Gateway Bronco’s star vehicle was the Wind Blue LUXE-GT Bronco shown here. It is a petrol powered, ROUSH Performance supercharged version of the company’s LUXE-GT product. This stunning Bronco turned heads all week thanks in part to its distinctive color and a fresh Ranger Stripe design. A custom white painted grille with sport emblems lends a retro vibe to this thoroughly modern resto-mod. Beneath that playful color are serious pieces like fender flares made from carbon fiber.

“I looked forward to introducing a re-imagined version of the original Ranger stripe that we made famous with our bright paints, tinted to a proprietary blend, to bring out the best these vehicles have to offer,” said Seth Burgett, founder and CEO of Gateway Bronco. “The unique color palette was an opportunity to introduce some vibrant options while remaining true to the original character of the classic Ford Bronco.”

Besides the fresh styling direction, this Bronco features Gateway Bronco’s new proprietary Freedom hard top with retractable roof. At the push of a button, the entire top rolls back and makes a 4-foot by 5-foot opening to the sky.

With the top off, the interior details are on full display. The painted 4-point family style rollbar has a custom leather covering with baseball stitching done by hand. The barnwood bed features a custom “Adventure Awaits” logo carved into the wood. Comforts like high-back seats with genuine PorscheÒ leather, chocolate German square weave wool carpet, and power window lifts with vintage handles make for an inviting cockpit.

This LUXE-GT is far more than just good looks and comfort as performance is engineered into the classic Bronco’s DNA. It is powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 with ROUSH Performance supercharger connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Gateway Bronco’s Active Ride Control Suspension with custom electrically controlled shocks work with the BFGoodrich 35-inch tires and 18-inch Blaney wheels to deliver any driver to their destination, whether on or off-road. Stay tuned to see what adventures await this Coastal Classic Bronco. “We launched the Bronco at the Motorlux event by Hagerty inside the Monterey Jet Center. Then we displayed the Sport SUV at The Quail in the bright sun. We took the Bronco to the beach for a photo shoot then a private Team Shelby dinner with Edsel Ford. All week long, people said, ‘That looks like the perfect Bronco.’ We’re thrilled the public had that response,” Burgett said.
